Maple Ridge–Pitt Meadows
Completed in 2020, the Maple Ridge–Pitt Meadows Area Transport Plan is focused on improving transit service and infrastructure, strengthening regional cycling connections, and making walking to transit safer and more enjoyable. The plan also considers goods movement and regional roadways. Support for this plan and its recommendations was provided by local elected officials of the City of Maple Ridge and the City of Pitt Meadows.

Process
Initiated in 2018, the ATP planning process occured in two phases. In Phase 1 we asked anyone who lives or works in Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge to help us identify issues, opportunities, and ideas on how we can improve local transit and transportation.
In Phase 2, we took public input and developed a range of different strategies. We then surveyed residents and asked for feedback on what we got right, what we didn’t, and how we should prioritize our next steps
Progress
Once the ATP has been adopted by both Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, ongoing monitoring will take place to track the status of the plan and report back on progress. We will also work with our municipal partners to ensure that land use and transportation planning continue to be coordinated.
